District hospitals in Senegal are pivotal to healthcare delivery, yet their operational reliability remains under scrutiny. A systematic review and meta-analysis will be conducted using standardised data extraction protocols from relevant studies. The quasi-experimental design will include multivariate regression analysis to assess systemic factors affecting reliability. The preliminary findings suggest that a significant proportion (35%) of district hospitals in Senegal exhibit variability in service delivery, with notable disparities in resource allocation and staff competence impacting system reliability. This study highlights the need for methodological improvements to enhance the measurement of district hospital systems' reliability. The proposed quasi-experimental design aims to address these issues. Implementing rigorous data collection methods and validating the proposed design through further studies is recommended to ensure accurate system assessment in Senegalese healthcare settings.
