Cultural heritage in West Africa, particularly within Kenya's context, faces challenges such as digitalization and preservation in a rapidly changing environment. Theoretical analysis will be employed to explore existing literature and propose new frameworks for digital preservation strategies. This theoretical framework highlights the importance of integrating digital preservation strategies with traditional conservation practices to ensure the longevity of West African cultural heritage. Policy makers should prioritise funding for digital preservation initiatives and encourage collaborative efforts between communities, institutions, and technology providers.
