This study focuses on assessing the operational efficiency of district hospitals in Kenya, with a particular emphasis on clinical outcomes. Panel data analysis will be employed to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of district hospitals across different regions in Kenya, with an aim to identify trends over time and within specific healthcare settings. A notable finding indicates that district hospitals in rural areas exhibit a lower success rate in treating common respiratory infections compared to urban centers, suggesting a need for targeted interventions. The study highlights the importance of regional disparities in healthcare delivery and recommends focused policies aimed at improving clinical outcomes in underserved regions. Implementing evidence-based preventive measures and training programmes tailored to rural settings is recommended to enhance clinical performance and patient satisfaction. Treatment effect was estimated with logit (pᵢ) =₀+^ Xᵢ, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
