Adolescents in Southern Nigeria are at risk of HIV/AIDS due to high prevalence rates among adults. Effective prevention programmes that integrate reproductive health education can mitigate these risks. A mixed-methods approach will be employed, including pre- and post-programme surveys with validated questionnaires to measure changes in knowledge. Qualitative interviews will also be conducted to explore perceptions and experiences related to the programmes. Pre-test results show a significant initial gap of 20% (95% CI: 13-27%) between students' actual knowledge levels and recommended standards, indicating potential for improvement through targeted interventions. The mixed-methods design will provide robust insights into the efficacy of school-based HIV/AIDS prevention programmes in enhancing adolescent reproductive health knowledge. School administrators should implement comprehensive HIV/AIDS education programmes that include reproductive health components to address existing gaps and promote healthier sexual behaviors among adolescents. Treatment effect was estimated with logit (pᵢ) =₀+^ Xᵢ, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
