This study examines economic blocs in Liberia within the broader context of regional economic entities in Africa. Data was collected through interviews with policymakers, economic experts, and stakeholders from various regions within Liberia. A thematic analysis approach was employed to interpret the qualitative data. Three key themes emerged: trade facilitation efforts were notably improved by regional blocs, though there is a need for more harmonized policies across jurisdictions. The study concludes that while regional economic entities have contributed positively to economic integration in Liberia, their effectiveness varies and requires coordinated national strategies. National policymakers should integrate regional initiatives into their strategic plans and advocate for more aligned economic policies at the continental level.
