Hylaeine bees are well known for their tendency to establish populations beyond their native ranges. Here we report the first record of the Australian bee Hylaeus (Gnathoprosopis) albonitens (Cockerell) from Singapore. This finding represents the first documented occurrence of an adventive hylaeine bee in Southeast Asia and extends the known introduced range of the species within the tropics.
