This research communication analyses the original identity of the Kirat community, 'Mundhumism', in a comparative context with modern 'religion' and Eastern 'dharma'. Although terms such as 'Kirat Dharma' or 'Yuma Dharma' are used in government and legal documents, their true nature is much broader than these definitions. The article clarifies why Mundhumism should be considered an 'Organic Way of Life' based on the Yuma-Theba concepts of the Limbu community and the Sumnima-Paruhang concepts of the Rai community. Mundhumism is not an imported idea but a philosophy that has spontaneously emerged from the heart and soil of the Kirat civilisation, which directly unites man with his lineage and nature.
