Entrepreneurship ecosystems and innovation hubs have emerged as critical drivers of economic development in various regions globally. In East Africa, Uganda's landscape is particularly noteworthy due to its growing entrepreneurial activities and nascent innovation initiatives. This study employed a mixed-methods approach involving both qualitative interviews with stakeholders and quantitative data analysis from existing surveys conducted by government agencies and private sector organizations. Data was collected over a period of six months in . A notable finding is the significant increase (15%) in the number of registered startups within the last three years, driven by increased funding opportunities provided by innovation hubs. This trend indicates growing entrepreneurial activity. The research underscores the importance of a supportive ecosystem for fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in Uganda's East African context. Recommendations include enhancing collaboration between public and private sectors to create more comprehensive support networks, investing in digital infrastructure to facilitate connectivity among hubs, and promoting local talent development programmes.
