This research was carried out at a company dedicated to the commercialization of poultry products in Lima, Peru, where a quality management system based on the ISO 9001 standard was implemented to optimize its quality costs. The focus was on identifying and reducing costs related to prevention, evaluation, and internal and external failures. Improvements were achieved in operational efficiency, staff training, and process standardization. As a result, the company achieved annual savings of S/. 155 784.00, mainly due to the reduction of losses from shrinkage, optimization of distribution processes, and minimization of errors in the supply chain. The implementation of stricter quality controls and the use of tools for continuous improvement allowed the company not only to improve its profitability but also to increase customer satisfaction by delivering higher-quality products more efficiently.
