This document is a Section 110 transmittal letter to the California State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) regarding the National Register of Historic Places evaluation of 32 built environment facilities located on North Base on Vandenberg Space Force Base. The letter explains that the base architectural historian conducted historical research, field surveys, and documentation to evaluate the 32 facilities. These facilities and groups of facilities constitute 27 built-environment resources which were constructed between 1942 and 1980. The letter also provides a brief explanation as to why these properties were determined to not be significant as they were predominately support facilities and many have been subject to modifications since they were originally constructed. The letter concludes that none of the resources is eligible for the National Register individually or as part of a district. The letter seeks SHPO concurrence for the determinations.
