The accuracy and inclusiveness of electoral rolls are the foundation of a credible electoral system. The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in India is conducted to refresh voter records and eliminate ineligible entries, thereby maintaining the integrity of elections. Nonetheless, the execution of the SIR process has provoked significant worries about random deletions and the omission of rightful voters. This study aims to investigate the function of the Supreme Court of India in providing judicial oversight of the SIR process and to assess how judicial intervention has upheld adherence to constitutional tenets of fairness, equality, and democratic participation. Using a doctrinal research method, this study analyzes constitutional provisions, statutory frameworks, and landmark Supreme Court judicial decisions. The paper underscores the importance of judicial oversight in curbing administrative excesses and safeguarding citizens' democratic right to engage in the electoral process through a critical analysis of legal principles and case law.
