Fruits and vegetables are highly susceptible to adverse conditions, microbial contamination, and postharvest respiration, leading to quality degradation, nutrient loss, and resource waste. To maintain post-harvest freshness and increase economic benefits, various preservation techniques for fruits and vegetables have been developed. Among them, nanofiber active packaging has garnered extensive research attention due to its advantages of environmental friendliness and superior preservation efficacy. Therefore, this review focuses on the preparation methods, functional effects, and current application status of nanofiber active packaging films. Furthermore, it summarizes and analyzes the challenges faced by nanofiber active packaging preservation technology, presents prospects, and aims to provide valuable references.
