The proposed topic is to highlight the recent initiative that connects academic learning with real-world industry practices. Materials Engineering students from UNIFEI (Itabira Campus) visited the Thyssenkrupp Springs & Stabilizers plant in Ibirité-MG. Organized by professors from the Institute of Integrated Engineering, the visit demonstrated the practical application of their studies, making the experience more relevant and valuable for students and industry partners alike. Guided by company professionals, the group examined critical processes such as forging, bending, and heat treatment, gaining valuable insights into how controlling process variables affects product quality. This experience reinforced concepts from their Steelmaking and Metallic Materials Processing courses, significantly advancing their technical development and preparing them for the automotive job market.
