Rural community is also vital in the provision of food security, creation of employment, and economic development in a sustainable manner. Farmers in rural areas however are still grappling with ineffective supply chains, environmental degradation, price fluctuations and poor market access. Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) in this context has been developed as a revolution which combines environmental sustainability as well as economic growth in the rural areas. The paper will consider how green supply chain practices empower farmers and encourage sustainable management of the rural areas. The paper conducts an analysis of the relationship between eco-friendly procurement, green production, sustainable logistics, and responsible marketing and how these elements can promote and help farmers earn more income, less impact on the environment, and build stronger systems of rural governance. The research draws on a conceptual and descriptive research approach relying on secondary data. The results indicate that GSCM has a significant role to play in rural renaissance through its contribution to the innovation, increased resource efficiency, and inclusive growth. The paper brings out policy implications and strategic recommendations of the adoption of GSCM as a tool of transformative rural management and long term sustainability. Keywords: Green Supply chain management, Farmer Empowerment, Rural renovation, sustainable development, Transformative management.
