This chapter belongs to a book that sets in tension the qualitative notion of place and the quantitative techniques of parametric modelling. I explore this tension by reframing the notions of place and technology in more-than-human terms. This non-anthropocentric interpretation highlights the continuity of underlying processes and opens promising opportunities for future design.
