Thin films of GdTbDyHoEr high-entropy alloy were obtained by sputter deposition. The structural features, magnetic and magnetocaloric properties have been analyzed for the samples of different thickness from 50 to 1000 nm. The film structure is described as a hexagonal lattice and it is characterized by a high degree of texturing. The magnetic entropy change ΔSM has been determined using the Maxwell relation from the data of magnetic isotherm measurements. It is found that the magnetocaloric effect in the studied films is observed in a wide temperature range, the maximum value of ΔSM is approximately 1.4 J/kg K for the amplitude of the magnetic field change of 2 T at a temperature of 150 K.
