Human Resource Management (HRM) in the mining sector of Botswana is a critical area for understanding organisational effectiveness and employee well-being. Qualitative research methods were employed, including semi-structured interviews with managers and employees from major Botswana-based mining companies. Interviews revealed a predominance of employee engagement programmes aimed at fostering loyalty among diverse workforce segments, notably expatriate workers. The findings highlight the importance of tailored HRM strategies for addressing specific challenges in the sector, such as cultural adaptation and skill retention. Organizations are advised to integrate more culturally sensitive practices into their HRM frameworks to enhance employee satisfaction and organisational cohesion.
