Magneto-rheological elastomers (MREs) are a class of smart polymers whose light weight, softness, and high deformability make them attractive for soft robotics, biomedical actuators, and artificial muscles. This work deals with developing a finite element based coupled magneto-hyper- elastic numerical modelling of large deformations of Soft MREs under a magnetic field. We have modelled a cylindrical MRE tube. The results show that the actuation characteristics depend on the ratio. This helps in better understanding of the complex design parameters for MRE devices.
