Secondary school systems in Ghana face challenges related to resource allocation and management that impact educational outcomes. A systematic literature review will be employed to analyse existing studies examining secondary school systems and their performance metrics. The study will employ statistical models such as fixed effects regression to estimate the impact of various interventions on educational outcomes. Panel data analyses revealed that targeted investment in teacher training had a positive but statistically uncertain effect (β = +0. 56, CI: −0. 12, 1. 24) on student performance scores. The review underscores the importance of integrating robust methodological approaches to assess educational systems and suggests that further research is needed to refine interventions for yield improvement in Ghana's secondary schools. Ghana should consider implementing a comprehensive teacher development programme, coupled with ongoing monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to ensure sustainable improvements in student performance. The empirical specification follows Y=₀+^ X+, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
