Community-based HIV/AIDS prevention programmes have been implemented in various African settings to address high rates of infection among youth. The study utilised qualitative methods including interviews and focus group discussions with students, educators, and community leaders to evaluate programme outcomes and youth participation rates. The findings suggest that community-based programmes can effectively enhance youth engagement in health education initiatives, particularly when tailored to local contexts and cultural norms. Future research should explore the sustainability of these interventions over longer periods and consider scaling up successful models with additional resources and support structures.
