The Energy Entity Hypothesis for the Origin of Life on Earth

This paper presents a comprehensive and self-consistent novel hypothesis regarding the origin of life on Earth. It proposes that fundamental life units in the form of pure energy, defined as energy entities, widely exist in the universe. Independent of physical bodies, these energy entities can drift, propagate, and persist in interstellar space. In the early stages of Earth’s formation, the planet became an ideal habitable environment for cosmic energy entities due to its stable orbit, suitable temperature, liquid water, and abundant inorganic substances. Energy entities organized inorganic and organic matter on Earth to form cells as physical carriers, and gradually evolved into all living organisms on Earth. This hypothesis also provides a unified explanation for three major unsolved problems in modern science: why artificial intelligence has no real consciousness despite powerful computing capabilities; why cloned and artificially created organisms exhibit weak vitality, short lifespans, and low intelligence; and why humans cannot create genuine life from inanimate matter. The core conclusion is that physical structures can be manufactured or replicated, but energy entities—the essence of life and consciousness—cannot be artificially created, duplicated, or controlled. The physical body originates from the Earth, while the core of life and consciousness comes from the universe.
