The proposed article presents an empirical study aimed at uncovering the unconscious mechanisms of motivation, which has been published in peer-reviewed psychological journals. Using established statistical procedures, the research demonstrates the presence of unconscious elements in human motivation. The findings reveal significant parallels with some of Sigmund Freud's ideas, particularly those concerning the unconscious nature of motivation and defense mechanisms. At the same time, the study offers a new theoretical explanation of these unconscious processes, paving the way for the development of psychotherapeutic techniques in a novel direction. This research bridges classical psychoanalytic theories with contemporary approaches, providing fresh insights into the practical applications of psychotherapy.
