The quick development of social networking sites and digital technologies has changed how people interact, communicate, and assess themselves in comparison to others. The Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), an important psychological phenomenon arising from this transition, is intimately associated with online social comparison activities. The psychological effects of FOMO brought on by constant social comparison in the digital era are investigated in this study. It investigates how exposure to carefully chosen online information affects mental health outcomes like stress and anxiety as well as emotional well-being, self-esteem, and life satisfaction. The study intends to offer empirical insights on the connection between social media usage, social comparison, and FOMO using both primary and secondary data. It is anticipated that the results will further our knowledge of the psychological issues facing people in the digital era and aid in the creation of more beneficial digital engagement tactics.
