ABSTRACT Henckelia monophylla (C.B. Clarke) D.J. Middleton & Mich. Möller is recollected after a gap of nearly 189 years. This species was last collected by William Griffith in the year 1836 and is so far known only from Lohit District of Arunachal Pradesh. A specimen at K is designated here as the second‐step lectotype. The conservation status and threat assessment of H. monophylla are also discussed.
