The article is devoted to issues related to the efficiency of domestic production of livestock products. An assessment of the activities of Russian agricultural entrepreneurs engaged in the production of livestock products has been carried out, the dynamics of cattle, pigs, sheep and goats has been studied, and the efficiency of milk, livestock and poultry production has been analyzed at both the federal and regional levels. The dynamics of the indicators of the balanced financial result of agricultural enterprises specializing in the production of livestock products has been studied.
