This study examines employee attrition and stress management practices in IT firms with special reference to Bangalore.The primary objective is to analyze the major causes of attrition and identify the stress factors influencing employees’ intention toleave their organizations. The research is based on both primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected from 99 ITemployees through a structured questionnaire, and statistical tools such as percentage analysis and Chi-Square test were used fordata analysis. The findings reveal that a significant proportion of employees have considered leaving their organization, with bettersalary opportunities and work-life imbalance emerging as key reasons for attrition. Work-life imbalance and job insecurity wereidentified as major stress factors affecting employees. The Chi-Square analysis indicates a significant relationship between selecteddemographic variables and employee responses. The study concludes that effective stress management practices, flexible workingarrangements, fair compensation, and continuous learning opportunities can help reduce attrition and improve employee retentionin IT firms.
