Urban female gardeners in Lagos, Nigeria face challenges related to water scarcity despite being pivotal players in local food security and environmental sustainability. A mixed-methods approach was employed, including pre- and post-intervention surveys with 150 participants to assess changes in knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding water conservation. Participants showed a significant increase (p<0. 05) from 25% to 48% in adopting water-saving irrigation techniques after the campaign. The awareness campaign was effective in enhancing female gardeners' knowledge and behaviour towards conserving water, but further tailored interventions are recommended for sustained impact. Future studies should focus on sustainability by integrating community-based initiatives and long-term educational programmes to ensure lasting behavioural change.
