The Nile Basin in Madagascar faces significant water scarcity challenges, which have led to recurring conflicts over access and use of shared water resources. The study employs a mixed-methods approach combining qualitative interviews with quantitative data analysis to explore perceptions and behaviors related to water resource management in the region. The theoretical framework identifies key socio-hydrological factors contributing to water conflict dynamics and proposes strategies for mitigating these conflicts through improved governance and community engagement. Recommendations include the implementation of adaptive management plans that incorporate local knowledge, equitable distribution mechanisms for shared water resources, and enhanced climate resilience measures.
