School gardens have emerged as a potential solution to improve nutritional status among adolescents in Nigeria, where malnutrition is prevalent. A mixed-methods approach involving surveys, interviews, and observational studies was used to assess changes in dietary habits and health indicators among participants. Among the participating students, there was a significant increase (p < 0.05) in daily vegetable intake by 30% compared to baseline data, indicating improved nutritional practices. Sustainable school garden projects offer a promising avenue for improving adolescent nutrition in Nigeria, particularly through enhanced educational engagement and practical learning experiences. Schools should integrate ongoing gardening activities into their curricula and provide students with regular training on sustainable farming techniques to sustain benefits over time.
