The Imported Self Theory (IST) is an extension of my Selfrupcy & Triadic Self Theory (TST) examining how artificial intelligence reshapes human identity by introducing an externally generated layer of selfhood: the Imported Self. Next to the original framework in which identity oscillates between internally authored self-states, IST argues that Al increasingly assumes the role of a proxy author, generating aspirational, aesthetic, and narrative identity content on behalf of the individual. By transmuting the Ideal Self within algorithmic templates, directing the Fluid Self through predictive cues, and rendering the Disposable Self the default mode of identity, IST describes a process of computational Selfrupcy: the extraction and recomposition of aspiration itself into algorithmically generated identity forms. The theory provides psychological specificity to the existing critiques of algorithmic subjectivity, offering both diagnostic precision and potential therapeutic pathways less explored in existing literature.
