One of the main problems of freight car operation is the wear of the wheel flange. The wear of the flange is influenced by a large number of factors, one of which is the friction in the pivot assembly during bogie turning. In order to reduce the friction force and, as a result, the resistance during bogie turning, it is proposed to introduce a rolling bearing into the pivot assembly of the car.
