Essential oils contain terpenoid and non-terpenoid compounds that have antioxidant activity. Antioxidants have been widely researched to be developed in health and cosmetics. This study aims to determine the antioxidant activity of Vetiveria zizaniodes essential oil formulated as nanocream. Extraction was prepared by steam distillation method. The nanocream preparation was made into three variants of essential oil concentration, namely FI (1%), F2 (3%), and F3 (5%) v/v. Each formula was tested for physical characteristics, including organoleptic, homogeneity, spread ability, Ph, viscosity, particle size, stability, and antioxidant activity. Data were analyzed using the statistical analysis methods. The results showed that the nanocream preparation produced had good physical characteristics according to the requirements. F1 has a smaller particle size (133.5 nm) than the other formulas. The IC50 values produced for F1 (41.63 ± 0.58), F2 (22.68 ± 0.19), and F3 (12.31 ± 0.78), clasifiying into extremely strong. FIII is an optimal formulation based on physical characteristics and antioxidant efficacy.
