The study's goal is to examine all the 2441 social media articles published between 2011 and 2023. The study's major aim is to identify the most often published publications, the most popular authors, and the nations that contribute to social media research. This information was gathered using software named Biblioshiny R Packages. The data demonstrate that the most productive country is the USA, with the most publications, citations, and global collaborations on social media research from 2011 to 2023. Emerging themes were identified that it included social networks (online), humans, human articles, and social media platforms, and others. The study's drawback is that it was primarily focused on the Scopus database and the software, Biblioshiny R Packages; we can use other databases to obtain more accurate and consistent results on social media. This study will help the marketers and academic researchers working on social media research in the near future.
