Youth engagement in arts and humanities has become increasingly important for cultural preservation and innovation in Senegal. A qualitative research approach was employed to gather data from interviews with young artists, cultural leaders, and stakeholders. Youth initiatives have significantly contributed to the revitalization of traditional Senegalese music and dance forms, with a notable increase in youth-led workshops reaching over 50% of local communities. The engagement of young people is crucial for maintaining cultural heritage while fostering contemporary artistic expressions. Policy makers should support youth arts programmes to ensure continuity and innovation in Senegalese cultural practices. Youth, Arts, Humanities, Cultural Preservation, Senegal
