Traditional fine arts and artisan skills represent a vital component of India’s cultural heritage and rural economy. However, globalization and industrialization have significantly marginalized these practices, leading to economic insecurity among artisan communities. This paper examines the role of education in preserving and revitalizing traditional arts while promoting sustainable development. It emphasizes integrating indigenous art forms into formal and non-formal education systems, alongside skill-based training and entrepreneurship development. The study also explores how cultural education can contribute to economic empowerment and cultural sustainability. It concludes that a holistic approach combining education, policy support, and market access is essential to revive artisan economies (Acharjee, 2024).
