This article investigates the complex interplay between environmental or geopolitical disruptions and global supply chain logistics, emphasizing the strategic application of advanced technologies to mitigate these challenges. Drawing from a comprehensive literature review and the analysis of over 100 scholarly articles, the study categorizes geopolitical and environmental disruptions, examines their logistical impacts, and explores technological responses. The findings offer a nuanced understanding of how conflicts, economic shifts, terrorism, legislative changes, and climate phenomena affect logistics, and propose technology-based strategies to enhance resilience. The importance of supply chain resilience has grown significantly in light of recent global events such as the COVID-19 pandemic, wars, and ongoing trade tensions. These disruptions have underscored the fragility of existing supply chain infrastructures and the need for more robust technological frameworks. By systematically analyzing disruption types and mapping them to specific technologies, this study contributes to the evolving discourse on logistics transformation and resilience building.
