AbstractThe Agri Clinic and Agri-Business Center (ACABC) program, implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, aims to promote youth entrepreneurship in agriculture. A study conducted from March to September 2021 assessed entrepreneurial success using the Chandrashekar Success Index. The study involved 100 respondents trained by the nodal training institute in Varanasi, following an ex-postfacto research design. Data were collected with the help of a pre-tested interview schedule. The findings revealed that 65% of respondents achieved a moderate level of entrepreneurial success. Among specific indicators, gross returns (38%) and net income (38%) demonstrated notable success. Moderate success was recorded in growth in clientele (44%), adaptability (44%), sustainability (37%), and satisfaction (57%), while prestige (57%) showed relatively higher success. Reinvestment of profits (39%) and employment generation (53%) contributed comparatively less to entrepreneurial success. Chi-square analysis identified education as significantly related (p < 0.05) to entrepreneurial success. Correlational analysis further highlighted the significant roles of work experience (p < 0.05) and income (p < 0.01). Stepwise regression analysis emphasised income as the most dominant factor, accounting for 71% of the total variance in entrepreneurial success. Overall, the ACABC program has effectively nurtured agripreneurs, with income emerging as the key determinant of their success, surpassing the influence of education and work experience.
