The ability to persist over a long period of time with little to no adverse effects on the ecosystem is referred to as sustainability in the environment. When resources are employed as effectively as possible without compromising the quality of patient care, sustainability in the healthcare industry takes place. Hospital environmental sustainability initiatives are examined in this study as a way to lessen the environmental impact of current healthcare facilities without sacrificing patient care. It offers new insight and useful information about the status of long-term advancements in the medical field. Through scheduled inspections and conversations with the competent authorities of 112 hospitals in Jharkhand, data were gathered based on six key broad indicators (variables) linked to environmental sustainability standards. The results show that hospitals prioritize running effectively to generate revenue in a state with the least level of development while ignoring environmental sustainability measures. A meager 1.40 hospitals on average participate in environmental sustainability programs, according to the data. The average value of all the important indicators is about 3.50, which means that sustainable management only concentrates on getting sustainability certifications and seeking advice from outside specialists to complete their daily tasks.
