In thermal and nuclear plants, thermal fatigue damages are sometimes generated. Analytical evaluation of thermal fatigues is generally costly and time consuming for the complexity of the assessment procedures. In addition, experimental data available for the validation of thermal fatigue analysis are limited for the large scale specimen and costly test apparatus needed. The purpose of this study was to develop systematically organized procedures using Python to perform FEA and process the results, and to validate the assessment procedures including a simplified method to evaluate low cycle fatigue damage from an elastic FEA.
