With the advancement of AI technologies, there is growing interest among businesses in adopting AI to improve operational efficiency and enhance competitiveness. However, in the early stages of AI system development, the interplay between business objectives and technical uncertainties often leads to ambiguity in the value the system should deliver and the direction of its design. To address this challenge, this study proposes an upstream design process that integrates value exploration and feasibility verification through interactive system modeling. This paper presents a case study conducted in collaboration with a regional company, illustrating the proposed approach and discussing key insights gained from the design process and its outcomes.
