Introduction: AI is increasingly used for diagnosis, management and prognosis in oral/maxillofacial pathology. Methods: Systematic review keywords: Artificial Intelligence, periodontal, salivary, bone, cysts, tumours, odontogenic lesions, neural, metabolic, congenital, periapical, systemic. Results: Data conversion to homogenous formats aids interpretation; AI supports early diagnosis, standardized investigations and reduced human error. Discussion / Conclusion: More advanced research into CNNs, ML and AI applications is needed; potential for improved patient outcomes with wider access.
