This research presents a comprehensive empirical evaluation of ten AI app builder platforms used in modern software engineering workflows. The study introduces a multi-dimensional benchmarking framework consisting of 28 metrics across four key dimensions: UX/UI efficiency, AI prompt optimization capability, deployment robustness, and economic constraints. A total of 150 controlled experimental runs were conducted, covering real-world development scenarios such as full-stack CRUD applications, authentication systems, and API development. Each platform was evaluated based on performance, code quality, error rates, and deployment success. The results identify Base44 as the top-performing platform with a score of 92/100, followed by Bolt.new and Lovable.dev. Statistical analysis reveals a strong correlation between AI prompt efficiency and overall developer productivity. This work provides actionable insights for developers, startups, and enterprises to make informed decisions when selecting AI-assisted development tools. This work is a preprint and has not been peer-reviewed.
