This study examines dementia support in communities through school education, based on the perspective of career development support from childhood. Dementia support through school education is expected to assist in the understanding of knowledge based on specific cases, and promote mutual understanding with knowledge based on practice, by implementing exercises and practical training along with lectures on understanding and supporting dementia. To realize these outcomes and support experience-based career development that enables children to fulfill their own roles in the community from childhood, ongoing community education practices and systems need to be developed that will help children identify issues related to dementia in the community as well as participate in the process of solving the issues they discovered.
