Platinum (Pt) nanoparticles were synthesized by laser-induced reduction from a H2PtCl6 ⋅6H2O solution. The reaction accelerated dramatically with increasing pulse repetition frequency below 100 Hz. However, the effect saturated at higher frequencies, possibly due to reduced per-pulse efficiency.
