Reference to Spain’s Most Modern Agrarian Laws and the Constitutional Norms that Inform Spanish Agrarian Law

This paper provides an overview of the principal modern agrarian laws in Spain and the constitutional principles that shape Spanish agrarian law. It identifies major legislative texts on agrarian reform and development, cooperatives, rural leases, agrarian transformation societies, and family farming, and then relates them to constitutional provisions adopted in 1978. The article shows how constitutional norms concerning property, social rights, environmental protection, regional development, and public intervention influence the interpretation and orientation of agrarian legislation.
