Biomimetic Peptides Bioinspired synthetic collagen-like peptide hydrogels offer the advantages of both natural and synthetic biomaterials. In their Research Article (10.1002/adfm.202529084), Erik J. Suuronen, Emilio I. Alarcon, and co-workers show that, by combining self-assembly with light-triggered crosslinking, these tunable materials achieve bonding strength comparable to commercial adhesives like LiquiBand. Additionally, their cytocompatibility and biodegradability make them a robust platform for soft tissue repair and wound closure.
