Does changing the atrioventricular delay affect cardiac output in different body positions and during exercise in patients receiving CRT compared to normal controls?
Optimal AVD tuning may be clinically important in selected CRT patients due to substantial individual variation and larger haemodynamic responses compared to controls.
The haemodynamic response to AVD modifications within a narrow range is larger in CRT patients than in normal controls and varies substantially between individuals. These findings suggest that optimal AVD tuning is clinically important in selected patients.
