Abstract Tre trial itself is a form of punishment, and thus the truly innocent are those who devote their lives to escaping the tentacles of the court. Two works of art, namely Klimt’s painting entitled “Jurisprudenz” and Kafka’s literary work “The Trial”, emerge as two outstanding examples illustrating unexpected connecting threads.
