The current study aimed to investigate previous studies that addressed the topic of curriculum analysis in light of digital citizenship. To achieve the current study’s objective, the researchers employed the descriptive approach “bibliometric analysis.” They used an analysis card to evaluate 31 peer-reviewed scientific studies prepared during the past seven years, from 2017 to 2023. The current study reached several results, the most important of which are: Through its bibliometric analysis of previous studies, the current study demonstrated the low inclusion of digital citizenship in educational curricula, reaching a low rate of 90%. The researchers from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia publish the most research in peer-reviewed journals on curriculum analysis in light of digital citizenship, accounting for 58% of the studies analyzed. The year with the highest number of publications among the seven years was 2021. The results also showed that IT curricula were the most analyzed in terms of the extent to which they incorporate digital citizenship. In light of these findings, the researchers recommend the importance of incorporating digital citizenship into curricula at all educational levels, conducting further analytical studies to examine the extent to which curricula incorporate digital citizenship, and examining curriculum developers’ attitudes toward incorporating digital citizenship into curricula.
