MRI-induced vertigo is a transient vestibular phenomenon caused by exposure to strong static magnetic fields. Although benign, it may cause significant patient distress and motion artifacts. Cases: We report two cases of acute vertigo occurring during MRI examination at the MRI suite of the Radiology Department of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, Port Harcourt, using a 1.5 Tesla GE Signa Creator MRI scanner. Written informed consent was obtained from both individuals before publication. Conclusion: The reports highlight on the clinical presentation, mechanism, and radiology safety implications. MRI-induced vertigo is a benign, self-limiting condition associated with high field strength MRI scanners. Recognition and appropriate patient handling can prevent unnecessary scan interruptions, and anxiety.
